strict vegetarian, feminist, genderqueer, bisexual. I'm a college kid and i'm a supernerd. star wars was my first fandom and i've joined pretty much every other fandom ever since then. It's a problem actually. My blog title is a quote from feminist Audre Lorde
Don’t be sorry for asking!! I love answering questions like this. :)
For me, gender-fluid means that my gender identity is not always the same from day to day. Ever since I was a kid I have never really “felt” like a girl, or like a boy. Most days I just feel like “me” and I am uncomfortable with any overly gendered clothing. Somebody once said that “any gender feels like dressing in drag” and i think that’s the best explanation of what genderless or genderfluid feels like.
I have days where I wake up feeling like a “girl” and days where i wake up feeling like a “boy.” Some days my sense of gender changes in the middle of the day and I’m left feeling like a masculine boy who is stuck in a dress. It can be frustrating and dysphoric.
I prefer the days where I feel genderless. On those days, dressing is easy, and loving my body is easy.
Does that help explain it at all?
